The Southern Lakes Caribou Steering Committee invites guests to join us in Carcross for a special two-day gathering to honour and celebrate the completion of our collaborative relationship plan.

This milestone marks years of shared work and relationship-building among Carcross/Tagish First Nation, Kwanlin Dün First Nation, Ta’an Kwäch’än Council, Taku River Tlingit First Nation, Teslin Tlingit Council, Champagne and Aishihik First Nations, the Government of Canada, the Government of British Columbia, and the Government of Yukon.

Together, we have come to this moment through listening, learning, and uniting around our shared responsibility to care for the caribou and the lands they call home.

The gathering will be a space for reflection, celebration, and ceremony — grounded in Indigenous knowledge, community voices, and mutual respect.

Schedule subject to change.
